We provide Civil and Directional Drilling services for the reticulation and maintenance of infrastructure and utilities
What is Directional Drilling?
We provide Directional Drilling for 15mm to 600mm pipe for Telecommunications, Water, Gas and Electricity in Soil or Rock.
Horizontal Directional Drilling is used for the steerable installation of new pipelines, ducts and cables. The drill path may be straight or gradually curved, and the direction of the drilling head can be adjusted at any stage during the bore to steer around or under obstacles. Boring is used under tree lines, under driveways………
Installation of the pipe or conduit is usually a two-stage operation. A pilot hole is drilled along the required path to provide steering information, and the bore is then reamed in a single or multi-stage operation, depending on the ground conditions and project requirements, to a larger diameter to accommodate the pipe. During the final ‘pullback’ stage, the pipe is attached to the reamer by means of a swivel connector, and is pulled back into the enlarged bore as the drill rods are withdrawn. Most guided horizontal boring machines use a drilling fluid, which lubricates and stabilises the bore hole.
Starting at the entry point a drill head, suitable for the ground conditions, is drilled along the predetermined route with depth and alignment monitored continuously
The pilot bore is enlarged in suitable steps by back reaming the hole with cutters designed for the ground conditions to a size that accommodates the product pipe
Once the drill string is connected to the pipe via a swivel pull back commences. In some instances the pipe can be pushed into place

Directional Rock Drilling
We provide Directional Drilling for 15mm to 600mm pipe for Telecommunications, Water, Gas and Electricity in Soil or Rock. Horizontal drilling is a technique for the installation of underground utilities without the need for the usual costs associated with open trench installations such as disruption of traffic flows, damage to highways, walkways, driveways, lawns and gardens
Hydro Vac Service Location
Trenching and excavation is the safest and most efficient method of exposing underground utilities. Since it uses water to break up soil and vacuum up soil, water, and debris, it eliminates the risk of damaging underground utilities often caused with mechanical or manual excavation methods.
Using slot trenching via hydro excavation, pipes can then be installed easier, quicker and safer
Electronic Service Location
Electronic Service Location can locate buried cables, pipes, telecom cable as well as most services and utilities, minimising the risk of damage to property and personnel caused by invisible hazards, such as underground mains cables and pipes.
Trenching is a type of excavation or depression in the ground that is generally deeper than it is wide (as opposed to a wider gully, or ditch), and narrow compared with its length
Pit, Pipe & M.H. Installation
Pit, Pipe & M.H. Installation is construction and installation of conduits and pipes through a series of pits and are required in order to connect telecommunications to your home, building or estate. We can remove old pits and replace with new ones or construct any sized pit or manhole.
